Ty Hadlock is a quarterback for American Leadership Academy Queen Creek in Queen Creek, Arizona. He’s been playing football since he was 4 years old and enjoys the feeling of making a good play and the relationships he makes with his teammates. He believes that the most important part of being a great quarterback comes from the leadership and mental side of things. He looks up to Patrick Mahomes as his favorite current professional quarterback because of his style of play and ability to make off-platform throws.
In his spare time, Ty enjoys fishing and camping. He’s attended quarterback camps in the past and his favorite part was the competition portion of the camp. His goals for the next six months are to continue to improve every day and to start on varsity this year.
Ty’s biggest challenge as a quarterback was when he broke part of his elbow and arm in his throwing arm during 8th grade. But despite this setback, he decided to push through until the end of the season and ended up winning the championship. His pre-game routine includes a prayer before every game.
The most influential coach in his football career is his offensive coordinator Coach Hall who taught him not only how to throw better and have better footwork, but also how to be mature about things outside of football. Ty would advise younger quarterbacks to work hard and not give up because it pays off in the end. He believes that if you put in the work, and have the right mindset, you can achieve your goals.
