Early in the game, Jax Ochoa threw two interceptions, and his team fell behind by 14 points.
That’s a hard start for any quarterback, especially a young one. It’s the kind of moment that can make a player hesitate on every throw that follows. Jax didn’t let it rattle him. “I stayed calm and collected,” the Class of 2032 quarterback from Windermere, Florida said. His team fought back and won.

That calm response is a big part of why Jax has already been successful. He’s a Windermere Prep student with six years of flag football experience and one year of tackle football, and he has won four national championships.
His football story started with his dad. His dad played for many years and later became Jax’s coach. He introduced Jax to flag football, and Jax says he has been there from the very beginning. “My dad has been my greatest mentor and coach,” Jax said. “He has been by my side since day one.”
Jax’s reason for loving quarterback is simple. “I have the ball in my hands every play,” he said. He sees that role as a responsibility, not just a chance to show off. When asked what a quarterback needs, he doesn’t start with arm strength or speed. He says a quarterback needs to be a great leader, a role model, and a hard worker.
Those are the same qualities he admires in Tom Brady. Jax describes Brady as a hard worker who inspires others and knows how to win. For a player with four national titles already, those three traits describe a clear goal to keep working toward.
Jax’s development goes beyond Saturday games with his dad. He works with quarterback coach Casey Kacz and has attended camps with FBU, USA Football, and VTO. That mix of individual coaching, national camps, and game-day experience is helping him grow as he moves from flag football into tackle.

His goals show where he wants to go next. Heading into the summer, Jax set out to win the Junior Olympics in flag football. Long term, he wants to get stronger, which is an important step for a young quarterback adjusting to tackle football.

Every Play in His Hands
Jax loves playing quarterback because the ball is in his hands on every play. An upgraded QB Magazine membership gives him a place to share what he does with those plays: four national championships, a comeback from two early interceptions, and his next steps as he grows into tackle football.
A feature article gives Jax’s story room to breathe. Practice Squad includes one article each year, and Starter includes two. Jax is young, so each year can bring major changes. One article can cover his flag football titles and early tackle experience. A later article can show how much stronger he has become and where his game is headed. Together, they help readers see the young quarterback his dad has been coaching since the beginning.
Every month, a custom graphic highlights a moment from his season. With four national championships and more tournaments ahead, Jax will have plenty of moments to choose from, including title wins, comeback games, and big throws. Each graphic is designed around Jax and gives his family something special to share now and keep for years.

Reposts help those graphics reach more people. Practice Squad includes two story reposts each month on X or Instagram. Starter includes four story reposts every week across both platforms, along with a monthly wall collab that appears on Jax’s page and QB Magazine’s together. That introduces a four-time national champion from Windermere to the magazine’s quarterbacks, coaches, and football families nationwide.
Starter also includes several extra benefits. Social media consulting can help his family manage @jaxochoaqb11 so it reflects the leader, role model, and hard worker Jax wants to be. Top 50 QB Mag Watchlist consideration is a meaningful opportunity for a player with his championship record. Priority for the QB Mag College Bus + Camps TOUR gives him an early look at college campuses. Both tiers include camp access, adding more options alongside his work with FBU, USA Football, VTO, and Casey Kacz.
Starting in sixth grade gives Jax a head start. Everything shared through his membership, from articles and graphics to reposts and collabs, stays with him as he moves toward high school. By the time he plays varsity, people will be able to look back through years of his development.
Jax’s dad has been with him since day one, first as the player who inspired him and then as the coach who helped him win four titles. A membership lets them keep those memories together, from his first flag football seasons to the calm comeback that showed what kind of quarterback Jax is becoming.
