Levi Dean, a quarterback in the Class of 2029, represents the next generation of competitive athletes who combine love for the game with discipline, strategy, and leadership. A student at Epic Charter and a resident of Murrieta, California, Levi’s football journey began at the age of 10 when he decided to try a new sport—and instantly found his passion.

What drew Levi to the quarterback position was more than just the spotlight—it was the mental chess match. He thrives on breaking down defenses and spotting opportunities others might miss. It’s the strategic side of the game that keeps him engaged and constantly pushing to improve.

As a leader on and off the field, Levi prides himself on qualities that every great quarterback should embody: being vocal, motivating others, holding teammates accountable, and leading by example. His role model? Tom Brady—known not just for his accomplishments, but for his relentless pursuit of improvement. That same mindset drives Levi each day.

Levi is no stranger to multi-sport discipline. He balances football with baseball, basketball, and wrestling—each sport shaping him into a more complete and competitive athlete. He’s competed in multiple quarterback camps and events, and what he enjoys most is the competition—the chance to test himself against the best and grow through the experience.

His short-term goals are clear: get varsity snaps early. Levi is aiming to play on JV as a freshman and to earn a shot at the varsity starting job as a sophomore at Vista Murrieta High School. That kind of ambition is backed by effort. He trains regularly with a focus on speed, agility, strength, and QB-specific skills. His weeks are filled with conditioning, plyometrics, and quarterback training sessions.

Challenges have never deterred Levi. Coming off a losing season, he opened a new one with an 80-yard touchdown pass on the very first play—a post-wheel concept that lit a fire under his team. That game ended in a 35-14 win, and Levi believes that moment set the tone for the season. Another challenge came when he broke his toe. Instead of sitting out, he taped it up and stayed in the pocket, showing grit and commitment to his teammates.

Before every game, Levi centers himself through prayer with his mom, followed by a focused arm warm-up and a mental walkthrough of his plays. He credits his dad as his biggest influence—someone who constantly holds him to a higher standard and pushes him to be his best.

As Levi prepares for the next chapter—high school football—he brings with him the lessons of youth football and the memories of playing alongside friends. His advice to younger players is simple: “Have fun, don’t overthink it too much, and never quit.”

Levi Dean is more than a quarterback. He’s a student of the game, a leader in the making, and a competitor ready for the next level. Keep an eye on him—because his journey is just getting started.
