Everett Pedersen is a rising quarterback talent hailing from Eagle Middle School in Eagle, Idaho, currently in the 6th grade and set to graduate in the Class of 2032. Everett’s passion for football ignited at a young age, sparked by hours playing Madden, and has since grown into a love for planning, strategy, and analyzing the game at every level. “What I enjoy most is analyzing the defense, understanding their strategy, and identifying how our offense can exploit their weaknesses,” he says, highlighting his advanced football IQ for his age.
Known for his speed, arm talent, and unique ability to “see the game in slow motion,” Everett draws inspiration from NFL star Patrick Mahomes. “His ability to make plays when things break down is exceptional. His improvisational skill, often compared to a jazz musician riffing on the fly, stems from a rare blend of athleticism, instincts, and football IQ,” Everett explains, showing his deep understanding of elite quarterback play.
Everett balances his football development with other interests, including basketball, but his football journey has been marked by standout moments. One memorable experience came at last winter’s Coach Gio Winter Elev8 Camp, an out-of-state event that allowed Everett to compete alongside some of the top quarterbacks from across the West Coast. “The opportunity to measure my skills against such a strong group of athletes was both challenging and rewarding, making it an unforgettable experience,” he reflects.
Looking ahead, QB Pedersen will be competing at the 8th Annual Mike Giovando QB Camp this coming January, flying all the way to Phoenix, Arizona, to test his skills against top talent from across the country. His short-term goals include leading his team to the Idaho Youth Football League 11U Championship and excelling in spring 7v7 tournaments with his team, Rare. Within the next year, he hopes to earn the starting quarterback position at Eagle Middle School and cement his place as the future of Eagle Football. His competitive drive is clear, recalling a moment when a former coach considered giving his position to another player. “I stayed focused, kept competing, and worked hard with my head down, proving my worth through my effort and results,” he recalls, showing maturity beyond his years.
His dedication extends to his training regimen, which starts with a pregame massage gun and stretching, followed by shoulder warm-ups and throwing drills to sharpen his arm. Everett trains with Kaizen QB in Idaho under a Coach Gio protege, combined with speed and agility work to elevate his performance. His proudest accomplishments include winning a Pylon 7v7 tournament, earning the GLD MVP award, and being ranked #13 in the nation for 10U.
Everett credits much of his success to his father, who consistently supports and motivates him. “My dad is my hero,” he says simply, reflecting the guidance and inspiration behind his young career. Everett’s message to aspiring athletes is straightforward: stay focused, follow your dreams, and work hard. With his skill, mindset, and passion for the game, Everett Pedersen is one to watch as he continues his journey toward becoming a standout quarterback in Idaho and beyond.
